Family Services
615 Second Avenue, Suite 150
Seattle, WA 98104

Family Services serves clients of all ages, ethnicities, abilities and economic levels. We strive to maintain a diverse workforce that is relevant to our client populations; therefore we encourage persons of diverse backgrounds to apply for open positions.

Typical Position Vacancies
Family Services is a private non-profit agency that works to build emotionally healthy, self-sufficient families and a non-violent community in which they can thrive. Today, Family Services is one of the leading direct service providers in King County and manages 14 locations. We are proud to provide services in Community Violence Prevention, Family Stabilization and Counseling that are designed to strengthen families.

Mental Health Professionals
Masters level social workers and therapists are employed in both psychodynamic counseling programs and community based services for the transitionally homeless.

Therapists generally work part time or full time, at one of our six counseling sites in the County. These employees are Licensed Mental Health Professionals, with a variety of specialty designations. The clients include couples, individuals, children, and adults. A senior Branch Director provides weekly supervision, weekly case consultations and staff meetings for each location. There are a limited number of openings for clinical internships and externs each year.

Extern Program
Professionally supervised externships are available for professionals who have graduated from accredited graduate schools. Apply here.

Community Based Services to the Homeless
Bachelors level Case Coordinators and Masters level Case Managers are employed in the community based service locations in downtown Seattle or in a public housing site in the Seattle area. These employees are working with temporarily homeless families in a plan to restore their stability. The Case Coordinators work with public housing residents to maintain their current housing or move on to more permanent housing. Most of these positions are full time.

As a part of the homelessness network, we operate a therapeutic day care for homeless children. Childcare workers are employed full time for this location at Yesler Terrace.

Community Violence Prevention
Masters Level therapists also work in the Community Violence Prevention Program with convicted perpetrators of domestic violence who are mandated by the court system to attend this year long program. A pair of therapists facilitates these group sessions. Most of these positions are available on a part time basis following in-depth training in the domestic violence curriculum and 500 supervised hours of work with perpetrators.

Administration
Administrative positions in accounting, fund development, human resources, and office management are found in many of the Family Services branch locations and programs throughout the county.
