Controller - Seattle

Full Time

Provides management of Financial resources to ensure fulfillment of the agency mission by establishing, documenting, revising, implementing, and monitoring agency financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or equivalent education, CPA or Masters preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in closely related senior management level position.

  • Extensive experience or knowledge of the following areas:  

  • preparation of financial statements according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • Budget preparation and administration

  • design and generation of specialized reports and analyses of agency operations

  • costing and pricing fee-for-service

  • computerized financial systems

  • accounts receivable and bad debt management

  • compliance requirements of government grants

  • Excellent non-profit accounting software and Excel spreadsheet skills.

  • Desire and ability to contribute to a team-base environment.

  • Effective people management and supervision skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to handle varied and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00

Hiring Range: $59,075 - $68,920 DOQ, PLUS FULL-TIME BENEFITS
