Accounts Payable Specialist - Seattle

Full Time

A full-time Accounts Payable Specialist position is available at Family Services. The AP Specialist supports the non-profit agency’s financial operations by timely and accurately processing of accounts payable by reviewing to see that invoices are properly coded, and properly authorized and paid.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of Certification in Bookkeeping (One year Program) and or Accounting training after high school. Education can be at a Business College, Community College, or University. On the job training and experience resulting in an equivalent level of bookkeeping knowledge can substitute for formal training.

  • Possess an aptitude for attention to detail and the ability to work with speed and accuracy.

  • One year or more of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting position. On the job experience should include the following: day to day processing of A/P, A/R, C/R; the creation, entry, review and posting of G/L Journal Entries; and the reconciling and analyzing of accounts.

  • Experience and competency working with computers, including back-up procedures and the utilization of accounting software. Experience with MIP highly desirable.

  • Experience or familiarity with non-profit accounting in a social service setting desirable

Hours: Flex-40 hours M-F, ability to climb stairs

Hiring Range: $13.39 to $16.54 per hour DOQ, plus full time benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, long term disability insurance, wellness program, EAP benefit, retirement plan, vacation, holiday and sick leave, section 125 Flex Plan)
