Resident Choices
Eviction Prevention for Low-Income Families and Individuals living in Seattle
Our Resident Choices program provides a range of support for residents of public housing communities. With the support of Resident Choices case managers, residents focus on preventing eviction and maintaining their housing by stabilizing their family, living and employment situations.
Resident Choices case managers can provide housing information and advocacy regarding:

Issues leading to potential loss of housing

Problems with landlords

Annual/special reviews
-
Grievance hearings
Inspections
Case mangers can also help clients with setting goals, by providing information/referral services, by assisting clients to access resources, and by being an advocate:

Educational needs

Community resources
-
Financial issues
Basic needs
-
Counseling
-
Child concerns
Public Assistance (DSHS)
Employment issues
To be eligible for our program, you must:

Be experiencing issues that may lead to the loss of housing
-
Live in permanent housing within the Seattle City Limits
-
Have a household income 50% or less of HUD income guidelines.
