Community Violence Prevention
and Intervention Program
Domestic violence has a profound, long-term impact on men, women, children, families and the community as a whole. As one of the oldest domestic violence intervention programs in Washington State, our Community Violence Program includes prevention and intervention components — both are key to changing the pattern of learned violence.
Family Services offers these programs at several locations. Fees are based on individual income, using a sliding fee scale. Medical coupons or insurance are not accepted for these programs.
Men's Domestic Violence Intervention ProgramOur clients learn accountability for their actions, examine beliefs used to justify their violence and learn how to communicate in respectful, nonviolent ways.
Respectful Parenting Skills for Men and Women
A three-month program for parents interested in
finding the best way to provide positive parenting without punishment.
This innovative program aids men in understanding the effects of domestic violence upon children.

Our counselors are available to go into the
community to directly train to your organization on a host of topics.
This course will help people learn to manage their anger in appropriate ways.
Lesbian DV
Group
This program addresses the unique aspects of DV among
Lesbians.
Chemical Dependency/Domestic Violence
This innovative program meets the WAC requirements for
interventions is both DV and chemical dependency.
